Founded in 2007 at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, Quartetto Indaco has rapidly emerged as one of Italy’s premier string quartets, earning accolades for their “magnificent sound and exemplary amalgamation.” Winning the 2023 Osaka International Chamber Music Competition and numerous other awards, they are praised for their vibrant performances described as “an amazing fireworks display.”

With a vast repertoire spanning classical to contemporary and a special focus on 19th and 20th-century authors, they conduct in-depth research on Italian composers, promoting new musical languages. The quartet frequently graces the stages of major festivals and venues in Italy and abroad and has been part of the international project “Le Dimore del Quartetto” since 2017, also serving as the resident quartet for the Milano Classica orchestra and the Paesaggi Musicali Toscani Festival.
