The Dostojevski Quartet is a promising Dutch string quartet, praised for their energetic performances and exciting interplay. Founded in 2014, the ensemble consists of violinists Charlotte Basalo Vazquez and Julia Kleinsmann, violist Francesca Wiersma and cellist Emma Kroon. In 2020 the quartet was awarded the prestigious string quartet scholarship by the Kersjes Foundation.

Lately, the quartet has been making promising steps towards an international career. They started their masters studies  at the renowned Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg under the tutelage of prof. Lukas Hagen and prof. Rainer Schmidt, and will make some exciting (inter)national debuts, performing in the concert series “KlangReisen” in Salzburg (AT), at the Hohenloher Kultursommer (DE), the MIRY concert hall in Gent (BE) and at the Zeister Muziekdagen.

Within the Netherlands, the Dostojevski Quartet has performed in the main concert halls, such as the Concertgebouw, De Doelen, Muziekgebouw aan het IJ and TivoliVredenburg. They have played  on major festivals including the Grachtenfestival, the International Chamber Music Festival Utrecht and the String Quartet Biennale Amsterdam and made  their appearance on Dutch radio and tv.
