With a fresh look, the ADAM Quartet looks for ways to shine its own light on the string quartet, while staying true to the essence of the genre. Since graduating from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, the quartet has been part of the Dutch String Quartet Academy (NSKA) since 2020, where they are taught by artistic director Marc Danel and have received masterclasses from ao Marc Danel, Pavel Fischer, Dmitri Ferschtman and Luc-Marie Aguera.
The young ensemble has already performed at the String Quartet Biennale Amsterdam, the Grachtenfestival, the Storioni festival and in large halls such as the Dutch National Opera, Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, TivoliVredenburg and the MIRY concert hall in Ghent. The ADAM Quartet has been a guest on television and radio broadcasts such as Podium Witteman, AVROTROS mirror hall and the Muziekfabriek. In 2020 they received the string quartet stipend from the Kersjes Fund.
