The Otilka Quartet was founded in 2020 at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. The four musicians combine the classical string quartet repertoire with a strong curiosity for lesser-known and contemporary music. They are particularly committed to rediscovering Dutch compositions, including works by Peter Schat, Ton de Leeuw and Hans Henkemans. In 2024, the quartet won second prize at the international Triomphe de l’Art competition in Brussels, followed by the prestigious Kersjes Prize in 2025. Since 2025, the ensemble has been affiliated with the Dutch String Quartet Academy.
